A Legacy Reimagined, One First At A Time

GBV stands on nearly four decades of zero-emission innovation and cutting-edge technology, producing multiple “first of its kind vehicles” —doing so long before the green energy revolution began.

Our EV legacy began in the early 1990s, when visionary engineers launched groundbreaking electric bus programs, including the “Olymbus” for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Over the next two decades, successive generations of electric and hydrogen vehicles were exported across the globe—powered by increasingly sophisticated control systems, efficient propulsion technologies, and modular chassis and body platforms.

Today, GBV doesn’t just carry forward a legacy of electric and hydrogen-powered innovation—we are actively rewriting the global standard. From being the only support vessel supplier at the America’s Cup to deliver a hydrofoil boat capable of sustaining 50 knots for over 200 km, to building Australasia’s first hydrogen electric truck—with an unprecedented and world-leading 600 km range—GBV continues to set benchmarks others only aspire to reach.
